Park in the Back of the Lot

February 9, 2012 By Ben

When I’m driving to a store alone, I almost always park in the back of the parking lot.

When you search for the best available spot, you end up circling around the lot, waiting for people walking by, or waiting for the slowest person in the world to carefully back out of their spot.

You waste time.

Far better to park in the back of the parking lot.

  • Always available parking.
  • Requires zero thought.
  • Exercise. Little bit by little bit, it adds up.
  • Less chance of door dings or shopping cart collisions.
  • Easier to leave without having to wait for people walking by.

What’s the best parking spot? Probably not the one you’re trying to get.

I totally do this too, for pretty much the same reasons.
