Lifelogging One Second Every Day For Six Months

July 11, 2013 By Ben

This video is the result of taking one second of video every single day for six months. Last year I took a photo of myself every day, which is far less interesting than taking one second of video every day.

One of the things I’ve come to love over the last few years is the recording of thoughts. I generally have a pocket notebook with me at all times, with observations and thoughts getting written down or put into an app on my phone. The throwaway thought becomes a lot more interesting once you forget you had it.

If there is one thing I regret not doing from childhood, it’s keeping a journal. If I could deliver a message to my 7 year old self, one of the tips, besides to take it easy on hot dogs in the teenage years, would be to keep a journal of every slightly amusing thought I had, interesting story I heard, and to write in it daily. It tuns into a gold mine of content to either pluck from or learn from. Though, the only thing you’ll learn from the video below is that I own a French Bulldog and eat a lot of cupcakes.
