If your business closed it’s doors tomorrow, would anyone miss you when you’re gone?
This is a good question to ask at any point in your business – from start up to giant conglomerate. Are you producing something people would miss?
The difficulty with the answer is that it often changes. At one point a lot of people would have missed portable cassette players and walk-man’s. And there are countless start-ups whose first iteration of their business wouldn’t have been missed, but they tweaked it to make something special.
Now is not forever.
Whether people love your business or have a soft indifference – it’s up to you to tip the scales in your favor.
If no one would miss your business is it a business worth being in?
